About Us

REGIONAL PROFILE:

The New England Region, as the name implies, is comprised of the six New England States and is the smallest in physical area of the eight regions that make up the National Pop Warner Program.

However, in spite of our small physical size, the New England Region has the second largest number of teams of the eight regions and continues to grow on an annual basis. We are able to do this in spite of the fact we do not have any leagues in the states of Maine and Vermont.

The region is broken down into 8 leagues which are located as follows:

  • Central Massachusetts (MA)
  • Eastern Massachusetts (MA)
  • Hockomock (MA)
  • Southern Connecticut (CT)
  • Western Connecticut (CT)
  • RISMA (RI & Southeastern MA)
  • Ocean State Pop Warner (RI)
  • New Hampshire (NH)

POP WARNER MISSION:

We emphasize the objectives of sportsmanship, scholarship, and physical fitness in a supervised environment to as many boys and girls as possible. We encourage our volunteer coaches to win; however, not at all costs. Playing within the rules and having fun are the most important goals and provide a solid foundation for our young participants.

We seek to develop well-rounded men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football and cheerleading, but also the importance of education. We are all proud of the fact that Pop Warner is the only youth sports group in the country that requires scholastic fitness.
